These violet skies that we lie under. This utopia where sand crumbles and flakes our feet. How could I ever forget?

This dream-like state. Being with you, holding your hand gently. Quietly hoping that your hands won’t let go of mine. This moment.

I wish no one could shatter it, but this is all a dream.

The reality is that you’ve left my side. Who knows why? You decided you needed to spread your wings to fly. Maybe I wasn’t enough for you. Maybe you got sick of me.

I could keep hypothesizing, but I wouldn’t know. I’m not you.

I’ve been left behind. It’s my duty to heal, to move on.

I will walk the terrains we once visited, and be content. I will explore the areas I couldn’t go because you held me back.

I will live not for you, not for myself, but for a greater purpose.

Separation always hurts; it leaves me breathless. Parting hasn’t caused me to lose hope. My spirit is breakable, but I will only become more resilient.

Your decision to leave is the end of a chapter, but not the end of many things that’s yet to be written, that’s yet to be made history.
